Appeal to find abusive man seen inappropriately touching himself in Ilfracombe churchyard

Officers investigating a report of a man inappropriately touching himself in front of a female dog walker at an Ilfracombe churchyard are appealing for information.

The suspect also made an abusive and threatening comment to the victim, aged in her 60s, when she challenged his behaviour.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident which happened outside Holy Trinity Church, in Church Street, between 12.20pm and 12.30pm on Sunday 14 September.  

The suspect, who was seen touching himself under his clothing, is described as a white male, around 40 years of age and 6ft to 6ft 2in tall.

He had long, dark curly hair and was wearing a black jacket, black trousers and black boots along with a distinctive large, dark silver belt buckle.

Officers are appealing for any information which might help identify the man as well as any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from the area at the time.
